On June 5, the town of Dyer hosted its annual festival. The festival started on June 5 and ended on June 8th. Many younger kids, teenagers, and adults came together to enjoy thrilling rides, exciting games, great entertainment, and delicious food.

“I went on Thursday night with some of my friends. The food is really good, so I got fried pickles and my friends got fried oreos,” Talia Harman (11) said.

Food stands covered all of the Pheasant Hills parking lot to feed eager, hungry kids. The food options include fried products, ice cream, popcorn, hotdogs, funnel cakes, and more.

“I enjoyed seeing people from school and eating the food,” Erin Todd (12) said.

The rides and food stands were running Thursday through Sunday. The annual firework show took place at 9 pm on Sunday night.

The next Dyer Festival will take place next year on the first weekend of June 2015.
