With a score of 68-45, the boys varsity basketball team won during a scrimmage on Nov. 17 against Hobart. The team is looking forward to the rest of the season.

“I think that if we keep practicing and giving it our all we should do fine this season,” Keon Sellers (11) said.

The team was able to the gain the 20 point lead against Hobart because of one big detail.

“[We] talked pretty well,” Sellers said.

Since the games just started, the boys have a few goals that they hope to accomplish in order to have a successful season.

“[The team would like] to win Sectionals, be conference champs and be a whole team,” Sellers  said.

Not only does the whole team have goals, but each individual player has a few goals that he would like to complete this season as well.

“I just want to play good defense and score a lot of points for the team,” Derek Hobbs (9) said.

The boys were able to work together, which helped them score the first technical win of the year.

“I think none of us were selfish at all. We shared the ball pretty well,” Justin Olesek (11) said.
