The Lake Central boys soccer team took on the Highland Trojans at home on Monday, Aug. 21.

With a tied score of 0-0 at halftime, the boys were determined to come out strong in the second half.

The first goal was scored by Noah Osearo (12). Osearo can usually be found defending the net in his goalie position, but this game he made his debut on the field.

“[Playing on the field is] definitely different but it was fun, a lot of fun, just a lot of energy,” Osearo said.

The second goal was scored by defender Nicholas Shell (12) with just seven minutes left in the game.

“I honestly think that there was a little bit more focus on them getting into the final third. I wish they were a little bit more clinical, even in the second half. [I was] just impressed with their composure and their ability to find a way to win even when they weren’t at their best,” Coach Jereme Rainwater, Vocational, said.
