On the morning of Jan. 25, while most students were headed to class, members of the Lake Central Theater Company were headed south to the University of Indianapolis for the Indiana State Thespian Conference.
While “As You Like It” did not place in the overall show competition, Lake Central did walk away with a number of winners for individual events:
– Best of State for Short Film: Martha Mapes (11)
– Best of State for Set Design: Brandilyn Stockton-Fresso (12)
– Excellence Ribbon for Duet Acting Experienced: Brett Balicki (11) and Brittany Busby (11)
– Excellence Ribbon for Solo Musical Theatre Novice: Elise Bereolos (11)
– Excellence Ribbon for Short Film: Jackson Delisle (11), Walter Aleksic (10) and Stephanie O’Drobniak (10)
Anastasia Rauch (11) also received an offer for a $5000 scholarship from the New York Conservatory for the Arts.
