Thanksgiving is approaching fast, which means Black Friday is right around the corner. In order to have a safe and efficient shopping experience, students share Black Friday shopping suggestions.

“Black Friday shopping definitely has to start by scouring the newspaper and magazine ads because that’s where you find all the deals,” Haley Renner (10) said.

Although some do not prefer to go out in the Black Friday chaos, checking out newspapers and magazines is beneficial for finding deals on Cyber Monday.

“Nap so you can shop ‘til you drop,” Renner said.

Forty-two percent of Black Friday shoppers enjoy shopping on Black Friday more than any other day of the year, so prepare for a crowded long night.

“Before they open the stores, wait outside the store that is usually always crowded and you want to go to the most,” Carly Gibson (10) said.

If last year’s Black Friday shopping experience was crowded just wait til this year.  This year retailers expect Black Friday sales to grow by 3.1 percent.

“You have to have patience because the lines are long,” Hannah Hopkins (11) said.

Although you may have to wait what seems like forever to get into the store you desire, be patient and the wait will end up being worthwhile, but be careful. Seven people have died in the history of

Black Friday  and 98 people have been injured.

“You have to have some brass knuckles too in case you get into some fights with moms,” Sophie Born (10) said.
