Q&A with Dominic Ciapponi (11)

Q: How many years have you been playing basketball?

A: I’ve been playing since I was six years old, so 11 years now.

 

Q: What position do you play?

A: I play power forward.

 

Q: What are you looking forward to the most this season?

A: The thing I’m looking forward to most about this season is Sectionals.

 

Q: What is your favorite part about basketball season?

A: My favorite part about basketball season is just being around the team.

 

Q: What is the biggest difficulty you have being a student athlete?

A: My biggest difficulty about being a student athlete is just trying to manage my time. I have to squeeze in homework time, and I like to hangout with friends after practice too, so that’s hard.

 

Q: Do you play to continue your basketball career after high school, if yes, is there a specific school you’d want to play?

A: I do want to play basketball in college. I will play wherever I can.

 

Q: What other teams do you play for outside of school basketball?

A: I play for Indiana Elite in the summer. It consists of kids from [schools of]  Munster, Andrean, Lowell, Chesterton,Valparaiso and Crown Point. I am the only kid from LC on the team.

 

Q: What are your goals for this upcoming season?

A: My goal for the season is winning the Sectional championship. It’s the first time ever that Sectionals will be held at LC, so we have to win this year.

 

Q: What is your favorite part about your team/being on the team?

A: My favorite part about being on the team is just bonding with the guys and developing a relationship with them.

 

Q: What is one of your favorite memories you’ve had with the team in the past?

A: My favorite memory is my sophomore year I was on the Sectional roster so I got to practice with them and prepare for our championship game with them.
